This represents reaching out on several levels.
The Karyatis figurine was gifted by a fellow artist, Tomáš Bittner, during one of the weirdest van rides back from a disastrous exhibition in Athens, Greece. Unfortunately, the tourist magnet was made from cheap plaster of Paris. I made the mistake of putting it in my pocket. It broke immediately but I kept it knowing I would, one day, include it in a painting. This is the painting I decided that it will forever belong to.
